FAQ (Payment)

Can I pay with a credit card that is not under my name?

The name on the credit card and the name of the passenger do not have to be the same. You can pay your booking using a credit card which is not under your name as long as you secure the requirements from the owner of the credit card. It is very important that the credit card holder is aware that his/her card is being used as a booking guarantee. If the credit card holder is not the passenger, we have the right to request verification of the credit card.

If you received our request for verification, please present below documents upon check-in:

  1. A photocopy of the front side of the credit card
  2. A photocopy of the card holder’s passport

Please have both copies signed by the credit card owner. You may also send these required documents to our Customer Connect agents. HK Express will have the right to refuse your boarding if you fail to provide relevant documents.

What payment methods do you accept on the website?

We accept credit card such as VISA, MASTERCARD, JCB, American Express and UnionPay. We also accept Alipay, coupons, vouchers and WeChat for online payment. You may choose the currency you wish to pay in when making a booking.

What should I do if my payment is declined?

If our system displays payment declined message, kindly verify the transaction status with your credit card issuing bank. If the payment has been verified but you have not received an itinerary, please contact our Customer Connect team so we can assist you to check the booking status.

When your credit card issuing bank confirmed that there is no deduction from your account, you can proceed to make a new booking.
